The official driver of the Commissioner for Lands in Oyo state Abdulrahim Abiodun, identified as Lukman Fabayo has been killed by unknown gunmen in Ibadan.

Also, Police orderly attached to the Commissioner is in critical condition at the University College Hospital in Ibadan.

Information has it that the deceased driver and the orderly had dropped the Commissioner in his house around Olomi Academy area of Ibadan late yesterday before they were attacked about 30 kilometres from where the Commissioner was dropped.

It was gathered that the gunmen emerged from the neighbourhood and shot the driver at a close range while the orderly was rescued by people around.

The Commissioner in a telephone interview said he received distress called immediately he entered the house that his driver has been killed.

According to him the gunmen were three in number and were on a motorcycle.

The public relations officer of the University College Hospital Ibadan, Toye Akinrinola says the driver was brought in dead adding that the orderly is currently receiving treatment at the hospital.
