Umaru Bago Mourns NSCDC Personnel Killed On Active Service By Illegal Miners

Governor Mohammed Umaru Bago of Niger State commiserated with the Niger State Command of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps, NSCDC, over the death of one of its officers, Aminu Eshin, ASC II, who was killed during an attack at an illegal mining site in Korokpa village.

The Chief Press Secretary to the Governor of Niger State, Bologi Ibrahim, in a statement, indicated that the farmer governor in a condolence message described the incident as disheartening.

According to the CPS, "Farmer Umaru Bago expresses his distraught with the demise of such a promising young officer who died in the process of protecting the interest of his fatherland.

"The governor also extends his deepest condolences to both the immediate and extended families of the slain officer and prays that Allah forgives his shortcomings on earth and grants him entry into Aljannat Firdausi."

Farmer Umaru Bago urged security agencies to fish out the perpetrators of the crime and reassures Nigerlites that justice must prevail.

The farmer governor also warned illegal miners to desist from such as the State government reiterates its ban on all illegal mining activities and anyone caught will face the full wrath of the law.
