President Bola Tinubu may have taken the politics of 2027 to high altitude, sidetracked Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyop State in the flag off of the N297 billion reconstruction of the 56.5km Ibadan-Ijebu-Ode Road on Monday.

The construction is handled by JRB Construction Company, expected to deliver in 36 months.

President Tinubu, represented by Governor Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, noted that the project is part of efforts to improve infrastructure nationwide. He also approved the redesign of the 70km Ibadan-Abeokuta Road.

Tinubu emphasized that the road is a key economic link between Oyo and Ogun states.
