The governorship candidate of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the August 15 -governorship election in Osun State, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji, visited President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Friday. Oyebamiji, after a closed-door meeting with President Tinubu, covertly conceded defeat to Governor Ademola Adeleke of the Osun State, winner of the governorship election.

The APC gubernatorial candidate thanked the President for his support during the election, assuring that he remains loyal to the party.

Oyabamiji, after meeting Tinubu urged Governor Adeleke to call his supporters to order and allow peace to reign in Osun State, after they have won the election.

The APC candidate stated "now that the polls are over, there’s need for consolidation among politicians and stakeholders to move the state forward."

Governor Adeleke had on Thursday visited President Tinubu on same mission.
Adeleke thanked Tinubu for allowing a free and fair election in Osun State.
