The Federal Road Safety Corps, FRSC, has launched a search for passengers who are missing after a car veered off the Kaduna-Abuja Expressway and plunged into a river at Gidan Azara on Saturday evening.

The incident occurred at about 6:45 p.m., according to the Radio Corps Marshal.

Local divers have made multiple attempts to retrieve the vehicle from the river, but the efforts have so far been unsuccessful. The fate of the occupants remains unknown as the search and recovery operation continues.

Officials from the FRSC and other security agencies are at the scene. FRSC OC Corridor, DCC Bello, is coordinating the operation to recover the vehicle and locate the passengers.
