Governor Monday Okpebholo of Edo State has intervened in the lingering kingship tussle between community leaders and elders of the Ewu community, in the Esan Central Local Government Area.

Leaders and elders of the community took their protest to the Government House, Benin City, agitating interference in the Kingship stool.

A community elder, at the Government House, complained that the throne of the king is not political.

Receiving the community leaders in the peaceful protest to the Edo State Government House, the Chief of Staff to the Governor, Musa Yakubu , promised to pass the message to the governor for immediate solution.
