Okowa harps on re-branding Warri

Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa has reiterated the commitment of its administration in partnering with the leadership of Warri, in ensuring that Warri regains its lost glory.

The Governor made the remarks at the second edition of Warri Economic Summit organized by the Warri Economic Support Group in conjunction with the Warri south council held at the Brown-Hill Centre.

Speaking at the capacity filled the auditorium with dignitaries from security agencies, traditional rulers and leaders of industries, Governor Okowa who was represented by his Chief of Staff David Edevwie said the partnership will build a stronger Delta, as the host and council chairman Dr Michael Tidi says Warri is open for business.

Some notable Warri indigenes which include the NFF President Amaju Pinnick, the summit and council chairman express their views on the need to send the right signals with the economic summit.

The theme WARRI ROCKS according to the Governor and organizers will no doubt lead to a push in bringing back companies such as SHELL which left Warri during the militancy era to return as a result of the promise of a conducive environment by the council and state government.
