Police Arrest Three Over Murder of Woman, Security Guard In Ogun
The Police have arrested three suspects over the murder of Madam Olakitan Oyesiku and her security guard, Pelumi Adetayo, in Owode-Egba, Ogun State.
Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, said the suspects were arrested following intelligence investigations, technical tracking, and forensic analysis of a handwritten note recovered at the crime scene.
Police also recovered the deceased's stolen Lexus RX 330 Jeep and other exhibits linked to the crime.
The principal suspect, Sodeinde Olajuwon Philip, reportedly confessed to planning the attack and recruiting of two accomplices over grievances with the deceased.
According to the police, the suspects killed the security guard to gain access to the residence before murdering Madam Oyesiku and fleeing with her vehicle.
The Command said investigations are ongoing and the suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.
