David Lyon's Removal (Militant Group Threaten to Resume Hostilities in Niger Delta)

Militant Group under the aegis of the Reformed Niger Delta Avengers(RNDA) has threatened to resume fresh hostilities in the region over the nullification of the election of former Bayelsa state Governor-elect and candidate of the All Progressives Congress David Lyon.

The group who according to security sources was instrumental to the violent protest at the Bayelsa Government House where bonfires were set, threatened to blow up pipelines in the Niger Delta should the Supreme Court fail to reverse the judgment sacking the APC candidate.

Leader of the group Comrade Johnmark Ezon Ebi also known as Obama in a statement made available to Galaxy news said the decision to halt their ceasefire and declare hostilities was based on the outcome of their intelligence, which he said showed that the Supreme Court ruling was allegedly procured through the black market by the ruling People’s Democratic Party in the state.

The Group warned that failure by the presidency and the Chief Justice Tanko Ibrahim to reverse the ruling will result in an unimaginable outcome that will cripple the economy through bombing.

Meanwhile, soldiers, the Nigerian Navy and other security operatives are still visible long the Delta and Bayelsa waterways which many referred to as the soft target, in ensuring that the group did not fulfill the threat of bombing oil facilities.
