Police Bust Phone Snatching Syndicate, Confiscate 9 New Android Phone in Delta

The police in Delta State, busted a phone snatching syndicate, confiscated 9 brand new Android phones.

The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, of the Command, Edafe Bright, in a statement, narrated that operatives of the command through credible and technical intelligence, arrested four suspects at their hideouts along St Brigid's road, Asaba.

The arrest, according to the police, was made possible following a series of reported stealing of mobile phones from shops in Asaba, which led to the breakthrough in the arrest.

A search of the hideouts led to the recovery of the stolen phone and the discovery of the suspects to be members of a phone stealing syndicate, who specialize in breaking shops and warehouses.


The confessed to the crime, while efforts are ongoing to arrest other members of the syndicate and identify the owners of the Recovered phones, the police said.
