PDP to Buhari: Use June 12 to Right Your Wrongs
The People’s Democratic Party has called on President Muhammadu Buhari to use the opportunity of the June 12 briefing to write all the perceived wrongdoings of his administration and party, the All Progressives Congress.
National Publicity Secretary, Kola Ologbondiyan made the call during a media briefing held at the party’s secretariat in Abuja on Thursday.
Mr. Olugbondiyan lamented decadency in almost all facets of the Nigerian Economy calling on the president to expedite action to restore the lost glory of the country.
The PDP national publicity secretary said the commemoration of June 12 should be a reminder of Nigeria’s freest and fairest election in history and should be seen as an opportunity to improve the already battered electoral process.
He said June 12 depicts Principle of equity, fairness and credibility of election and the president should endeavour to adopt, through his broadcast on Friday, measures that will improve the electoral system.
He asked the president to reinvigorate the lacking national unity as PDP and Nigerians have not been impacted in any way with any government policy.
The PDP’s position is coming on the eve of President Muhammadu Buhari’s Democracy Day broadcast slated for Friday, 12 June 2020.
