The presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, in the 2027 general elections, Peter Obi, has raised alarm over alleged fresh threat to his life.

Obi cried out that he may not be alive soon, the way his assailers are going now.

According to obi, “The way they’re going now, I might not even be alive soon. They’re going after my life. Every single thing I do for a living, this government is deliberately frustrating it. The government is attacking me personally, they’re not even providing me with things I should be entitled to normally.”

Obi escaped assassinated in Edo State at the residence of former Governor John Odigie-Oyegun, penultimate week, after an African Democratic Congress, ADC, event in Benin City. Holes of bullet pierces were noticed on the entrance gate of Oyegun's residence after gunmen trailed the ADC convey, but arrived after the gate was closed, opened fire but failed to gain entrance.
