There is rising disquiet over the killing of a 14-year-old boy, identified as Ezekiel Olapade, in Ilobu, Irepodun Local Government Area, Osun State, last Sunday.

The Director-General of ACCORD Campaign Council, Lere Oyewumi, in Oshogbo, condemned the killing and appealed to the inspector General of Police to order the arrest and prosecution of alleged suspect and every individual in connection with the heinous crime.

The D.G. also demanded the IG of Police to order comprehensive investigation into all reported incidents of political violence across the state.

The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, of the State Command, Abiodun Ojelabi, commiserating with family of the victim, noted that the reason for the killing is yet to be ascertained. He, however, said that the Police are leaving no stone unturned to arrest the alleged perpetrator and anyone found culpable.

The Director of Media and Information of the State All Progressives Congress, Kola Olabisi, in a statement, indicated that the APC condemned the gruesome killing and also wanted the police to conduct thorough investigation on the sad incident.
