No fewer than five persons sustained serious injury at Moniya junction, in Akinyele local government area of Ibadan when a trailer lost control and rammed into their vehicles.

It was gathered that three commercial cars, popularly known as Micra were damaged as the truck rammed into them.

Correspondent Kunle Ojo reports that the auto crash occurred around 6.30 am when the driver of the Mac truck with registration number Anambah BDD 221 ye lost control of the vehicle and in an attempt to rescue the situation rammed into the waiting vehicles with five passengers.

It was gathered that the victims of the accident were promptly rescued by the sympathizers and are now receiving treatment at the hospital while normalcy has since returned to the scene by officials of the federal road safety commission and officers from Moniya division of the Nigeria police force Oyo state command.

Also, the wreckage of the truck and the three commercial cars affected have been moved out of the scene for free vehicular movement while residents and traders in the axis have appealed to the state government for prompt action to forestall incessant road accident in the area.
