Military begins operation in search of ESN camps in Imo

Residents of Orlu and Orsu Local Government Areas of Imo state have been thrown into a very terrifying mood following the Nigerian military operations in search of camps and members of Eastern Security Network owned by Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.

The army spokesperson of the 34 artillery Brigade, Obinze, Owerri, Imo state, Babatunde Zubairu, who confirmed the operation said that locals were not being harassed as their operations is a tactical one.

He confirmed the deployment of helicopters and other military gadgets into the axis for the operations.

The army spokesperson said the operation became necessary as a result of military intelligence.

A source from Uda community in Orsu LGA told our correspondent that though no Indigene was shot by the military but the operation is causing Serious panic in the area.

It will be recalled that members of the ESN and the military clashed on January 25, which left a soldier and some members of ESN also killed with shops burnt.
