Ibadan Polytechnic Students Protest Irregularities on Campus
Students of the Polytechnic, Ibadan on Monday paralyzed activities at the Agodi Government House and the entire axis as they protested a series of irregularities on the campus.
The Protesters converged on the main entrance of the secretariat with placards of various inscriptions chanting various Aluta songs.
Correspondent Kunle Ojo reports that the actions of the students led to the closure of all gates of the secretariat as civil servants and others who had one business or the other to transact were not allowed in and out of the secretariat.
Not only that, the protest led to heavy traffic gridlock in front of the secretariat as motorists and commuters plying the area were stuck in traffic.
Speaking with our correspondent, the President of the Students Union of the institution, Adedeji Ademola said the students had complained to the management of the institution but their demands are yet to be met.
He urged the state government to give Ibadan Poly. the same attention being given to the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology, Ogbomosho.
