Gunmen in the early hours of today attacked the Nsukwa divisional police station in Aniocha South LGA of Delta state.

The gunmen were said to have invaded the police station burning vehicles and destroying properties at the station

Arriving the scene, the assistant inspector general of police Zone 5 and the state commissioner of police accompanied by other senior police officers ascertained the level of destruction done

Journalists were barred from entering the premises and the police authorities also refused to speak with newsmen.

Although the actual number of casualties is yet to be ascertained, reports have it that three police officers were killed in the attack

The assailant also burned down vehicles on the premises
