Hundreds of placards wielding protesting youths from different oil producing communities in Delta state have taken to the streets of Effurun community,in Uvwie local government area of the state to call on the president to appoint the next Managing Director of the NNDC from Delta state.

This is coming two weeks after the group protested in Bayelsa and Warri in support of the candidature of a Deltan to occupy the position.

Fielding questions from newsmen after leading protesters in a two-kilometer walk, the youth leaders from Ijaw, Isoko and Urhobo ethnic nationality spoke on the protest.

The protest according to the groups will be replicated in the capital city of Abuja to draw the attention of the National assembly.
