How Police Saved 21 Construction Workers Mistaken For Bandits In Ogun
For the intervention of the Police, 21 construction workers would have been sent to their early grave by sensational security conscious citizens in Ogun State, who were wrongly profiled for bandits.
Youths had on Tuesday, June 3, 2026, intercepted a bus along Ibogun Road, Ogun State, conveying some people suspected to be bandits. They raised security alert, which culminated in the rapid response of the Police.
The Ogun State Police Command, dealing with the security alert, discovered that the intercepted persons at Ifo conveyed in a bus, were genuine 21 construction workers recruited to work at the federal Ifo–Ibogun Road reconstruction project.
Verifying that they were genuine construction workers, the police escorted the 21 workers to the project site.
