Shakira is now a mother and this time, it’s no joke!

The sexy singer and boyfriend, football star Gerard Pique, welcomed their first child, a baby boy on January 22, 2012 in Barcelona, Spain.

He has been named Milan Piqué Mebarak

The couple announced the good news on the singer’s official website – ‘We are happy to announce the birth of Milan Piqué Mebarak, son of Shakira Mebarak and Gerard Piqué’.

‘The name Milan (pronounced Mee-lahn), means dear, loving and gracious in Slavic; in Ancient Roman, eager and laborious; and in Sanskrit, unification‘, they continued.

And just like his father, baby Milan has become a member of FC Barcelona at birth.

Baby Milan weighed 6 pounds, 6 ounces, according to the hospital.

Shakira’s delivery was just a few hours behind Peter Okoye’s baby mama Lola Omotayo’s delivery of the couple’s second child ‘Aliona’ in San Francisco, US.
