Pension Scam: Maina Fail In Another Backdoor Attempt To Restrain The Senate & Police,Faces Arrest

A federal high court sitting in Abuja, on Monday says it can not entertain appeal over the application it refused to grant on February 15th, 2013, seeking a perpetual injunction against the Senate and the Nigerian Police, to maintain status quo, pending the determination of the motion filed by embattled Pension Reform Task Force chairman, Ahl. Abdulrasheed Maina.

Justice Adamu Bello while ruling on the motion on notice, allegedly converted from the exparte motion filed last week by Maina's lawyer, Mr. Mohammed Magaji, said " the court gave a considered ruling on the exparte application of 15th February, this court is bound by that refusal to grant same.

" By refusing that exparte application, this court can not seat on an appeal in a matter it gave a considered ruling, refusing to grant the order of status quo. The court of appeal is the only court with jurisdiction to review the ruling" Justice Adama noted.

According to the Judge, " The court aligns itself with the objections raised by the respondents over the jurisdiction of the court to hear a fresh motion on the same subject matter it refused to grant on Friday and adjourned to February 26th for adoption of all written addresses.
