The Nigeria Football Federation’s (NFF) Technical Committee has urged the League Management Company (LMC) to guide against some irregularities in the professional league, especially the win at all cost approach by some home clubs.

Arguing that the trend if not checked could tarnish the efforts of the body to grow the league, a member of the committee, Christian Chukwu picked the results of matches played at the weekend to buttress his point. He said some unscrupulous club officials and referees were damaging the league, adding that unlike the past two seasons, it was becoming difficult for teams to win matches outside their homes.

The Enugu Rangers boss, who said fair officiating, would attract more fans to the league, called on the LMC to monitor the activities of the referees to curb bad officiating in matches.
