Neymar, Uzoho doubtful for league action after injury
Paris St-Germain forward Neymar is doubtful for his Club’s Champions League game with Club Brugge on October 22nd after he limped off in Brazil 1-1 draw with Nigeria.
The 27-year-old was substituted after 12th minutes holding his left thigh, meaning he could be out of action for weeks.
Rangers Joe Aribo who returned from serious head injury gave Nigeria the lead in the 35th minutes before Real Madrid’s Casemiro equalised just after half-time.
With 70% possession at Kallang Stadium in Singapore, Brazil was unable to find a winner to extend their winless run to five matches after winning the Copa America.
Meanwhile, Nigeria’s first-choice goalkeeper Francis Uzoho was also substituted from the match with a suspected serious injury after he landed awkwardly.
Uzoho sustained the injury in the 63rd minutes, before been replaced with Maduka Okoye who made his first appearance for Nigeria.
