The Police, receiving complaint, arrested a suspected cult leader identified as Oghenebuba Mamatime, who is on the wanted list of the police for shooting a victim and possession of four locally fabricated guns.
The Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, of the Delta State Command, Edafe Bright, in a statement, indicated that the command on receiving a complaint from a man, whose name was withheld, operatives of the police division in Jesse community, in a combined effort with some youths, arrested the suspect who is a 28-year-old notorious cult leader and member of the Eiye confraternity, who has been on the Police wanted list.
According to the PPRO, the suspect has confessed to shooting the victim as he claimed to be unhappy over the victims decision to quit Cultism, and in a bid to force him to rescind his decision led to the shooting in an ensued argument.
The suspect is in the custody of the police, including the recovered one double barreled gun and the three locally fabricated pistols.
