The Police are on transition to the adoption of technology in crime fighting and law enforcement in the country.

The Force Public Relations Officer, FPRO, CSP Ani Iniedu, revealed that the Inspector General of Police, IGHP Olatunji Disu, emphasized that the Nigeria Police Force will officially unveil two critical digital communication tools at the Police Resource Centre, Abuja, on Tuesday, September 1st, 2026.

According to the Force Public Relations Officer CSP Ani Iniedu, the first is the "NPF Vigilant App," a platform built to optimize direct information sharing and security cooperation between the public and police officers.

In addition to the application, the IGP will launch a dedicated MTN Closed User Group Network. CSP Ani Iniedu said this network is engineered to deliver highly secure, real-time communications strictly for active police personnel to maximize response times.
