NDLEA Makes Largest Cocaine Seizure of 184.5kg Worth N39bn, Arrests KC Luxury
The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, NDLEA, made huge seizure of 184.5 kilograms of cocaine worth about N39 billion at a logistics company in Lagos. The Agency, subsequently, arrested KC Luxury, identified as suspected kingpin and social media influencer.
The Agency disclosed the breakthrough was made after disrupting a major international cocaine trafficking cartel.
NDLEA alleged that KC Luxury coordinates the Nigerian base of the drug cartel; moves cocaine from South America through Nigeria to the UK, Europe and Asia.
According to NDLEA, KC Luxury was arrested at the boarding gate of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos, on August 13 at the point of fleeing to Paris, France.
NDLEA found €7,750, £2,800 and N100,000, including expensive jewellery, exotic vehicles at the luxury apartment of KC Luxury on Banana Island, Lagos.
NDLEA Chairman, Brigadier Buba Maruwa, retired, said some members of the illicit drug cartel were also apprehended in the United Kingdom.
