INEC okays 567,637 voters' cards for pickup
The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) in Ogun state has said that over 567.637 unclaimed permanent voters card being the figures since 2011 to date are ready for collection in all the 236 registration areas across the twenty local government areas of the state.
This figure was quoted by the administrative Secretary of the commission in the state, James Popoola during an election stakeholders forum held at the Hubert Ogunde hall of the cultural centre, Kuto Abeokuta in the state capital
Poopola urged residents to take time out to pick their cards. He said collection by proxy shall not be entertained.
The administrative secretary while asking for cooperation and understanding of stakeholders however asked members of political parties to maintain a high degree of internal democracy to settle their differences.
