Fresh internal crisis has continued to rock the  Ogun state chapter of the Peoples' Democratic Party as suspension and counter suspension among the state working  committee members  of the party is the order  of the day 

This time around, a factional chairman of the party in the state, Samson Bamgbose  was purportedly suspended  alongside other members of the state executive council members for alleged  anti-party activities, while the suspended chairman, however, announced the suspension of three members of the party in retaliation

At a press briefing held in Abeokuta, the state capital, the chairman, Samson Bamgbose said he remains the chairman while other state executive council remain bonafide members of the party.

But in a swift reaction, the factional public relations officer, Olasunkanmi Oyejide affirmed that the chairman and other state executive council members remain suspended

It will be recalled that  about 70% of the members of the state executive were suspended at a meeting purportedly held in Lagos yesterday for anti-party activities

With this development, the internal wrangling rocking the party may be far from over
