Factional African Democratic Congress, ADC, has disowned a podcast video circulating in the public, portraying that an elective convention was held at the Velodrome of the Moshood Abiola International Stadium, Abuja. The party described the content as false and a product of propaganda from a coalition-linked machinery.

The Chief of Staff to the ADC National Chairman, Bala Sani Kumo, in a statement, declared that its party's national leadership under Nafiu Bala Gombe, has not issued any notice for an elective convention, nor authorised any such gathering at any time.

The party insisted that it remains committed to due process, constitutionalism and the rule of law, noting that it will wait for the conclusion of ongoing legal proceedings before the Federal High Court as well as a related appeal currently before the Supreme Court. The matter has been adjourned to 22 April 2026.

Kumo further explained that the party is confident in the judicial process and expects the courts to affirm its position.

He added that once judgment is delivered, the ADC will formally communicate its approved schedule of activities to members and the general public through its recognized channels.
