The All Progressives Congress in Ekiti state has expressed its readiness for the local government election in the state. This was disclosed by the party's publicity secretary, Ade Ajayi while briefing journalists on Friday.

He said the party has adopted indirect system for its primaries and also set up a reconciliation committee to handle disputes from the primaries. Remember that the Ekiti state independent electoral commission last weekend lifted the ban on campaign for the local government election.

The APC also responded to allegations raised by the people's democratic party describing the chairman of the state's electoral commission, Jide Aladejana as unfit to conduct the election.

The PDP has on Thursday released a statement signed by its publicity secretary condemning the composition of the electoral commission and also alleging that it's chairman, Jide Aladejana was suspended from the civil service.
