The protest of the school children and teachers kidnapped in Oriire Local Government a fortnight ago has persisted in several parts of the country, and being resumed in Ogbomosho early this week.

Residents of the ancient city of Ogbomoso, took to the streets early on Monday, protesting the delay in the rescue of the school children and teachers still in the captivity of gunmen in the forest. They demand intensified efforts by the government for the immediate release of the kidnapped children and teachers in the custody of bandits.
