Authorities of the People Democratic Party have reinstated Senator Samuel Anyanwu as their national Secretary.

Acting National Chairman of the party Umar Damagum made the disclosure at the end of the party’s 100th National Executive Council meeting held at the party’s national secretariat in Abuja on Monday. Damagum said Senator Anyanwu will continue his duties as the party’s scribe until the next convention in August 2025, when the party will get another secretary.


Earlier, during the opening of the NEC meeting, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, BOT. Senator Adolphos Wabara said despite the ongoing political challenges, the People’s Democratic Party remains resilient and focused on the future.
Senator Adolphus Wabara, warned of possible external attempts to destabilize the party insisting on the maintenance of internal cohesion to avoid public misinterpretation of unity as manipulation.

Chairman of the People’s Democratic Party’s Governors Forum and Bauchi State Governor, BALA Mohammed reaffirmed the party’s commitment to survival and growth calling for unity as a central pillar of the party’s progress and internal strength.The gathering which hitherto had generated controversies over its nomenclature held to tackle internal issues within the party. The party also scheduled its 101 NEC Meeting on July 23, 2025
