Oyo Government has declared that the immediate past Governor of the state, Abiola Ajimobi, misrepresented facts as regards the vehicles carted away by officials of his government.

The former Governor had while speaking to newsmen in Ibadan, described the alarm raised by the incumbent government in Oyo State as a minor issue, adding that his aides paid for the vehicles they took away.

In a statement by the Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Taiwo Adisa, Makinde indicated that the former Governor mixed up the facts of the matter.

The statement added that there is no ambiguity about the issue of missing or stolen cars adding that those vehicles being refereed to are official cars carted away without legal instruments.

The Government added that many of the vehicles carted away illegally are new and in working conditions.

While restating its readiness to recover all the stolen vehicles through the instrument of the law, Oyo state government under Engr. Seyi Makinde says he has no issue with the civil servants in the state calling on Ajimobi to stop justifying illegality.
