Makinde Restates Commitment to Security of Lives and Property in Oyo State

Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde has declared that his administration will continue to assist security agencies in the state despite the poor economic conditions.

Makinde gave the assurance in Ibadan during the presentation of 25 security vehicles to the Oyo state security outfit, Operation Burst and the state Police Command.

Correspondent Kunle Ojo reports that the Governor declared that despite the challenges faced in the outgoing year characterized with COVID-19. EndSARS, and economic meltdown, his administration will never give up in providing adequate security for the protection of lives and property of citizens. 

The Governor who encouraged men of Nigeria Police Force in the state to keep discharging their duties without fear affirmed that their welfare is guaranteed by the state government.

Earlier In his welcome address, the Special Adviser to the State Governor on Security Matters, Fatai Owoseni, commended the Governor for always being on top of the situation to in the prevention of crimes in the state adding that the gesture will further boost the morale of the security personnel in the state.

Speaking in the same vein, the Commissioner of Police in the state Nwachukwu Enwowu, appreciated Governor Makinde for always being proactive, especially on the issue of security stressing that his men are battle-ready to reduce crime to barest Minimum in Oyo State. 

The 15 security vans are meant for the State Security outfit code-named Operation Burst and 10 security cars for Men of Police Swift Response Squad were later Commissioned by Governor Makinde before he had a feel of one of the cars.

Recall that Governor Makinde on November 2019 Presented 100 Vehicles to the state police command to Combat Crimes and other vices in the State.
