Anambra police repels armed hoodlums in Ojukwu university

The Anambra state police command says it has repelled and dispersed armed criminal elements, reported to have shot sporadically at the Uli campus of the Odumegwu Ojukwu university.

The command in a statement by its spokesperson Tochukwu Ikenga made available to our correspondent, said the gunmen stormed the university and started shooting sporadically which scared the students.

There was no casualty as a result of the shooting, as operatives of the command chased the hoodlums away after an exchange of gunfire.

Meanwhile, normalcy have been restored to the area as the acting police commissioner DCP Fidelis Ogarabe ordered operatives to ensure that criminal elements are fished out in the university community.
