Armed forces, Jaji remembers fallen officers

Commandant armed forces command and Staff College, Jaji air vice Marshall Lawal Alao says the college will continue to remember the 165 officers and men who died in a plane crash in Egigbo in 1992.


Addressing officers during the memorial in Jaji, the commandant says the deceased exhibited a high sense of responsibility and bravery in the course of service to the nation.

Commandant armed forces command and staff college Jaji, air vice Marshall Lawal who reflect over the incident says the officers paid the supreme price in service to fatherland. 

While rear admiral Mathew emuekere who was the guest of honor says the college remembers the officers, as their death has strengthened others to show commitment in service to the nation.

Alao says that an epitaph has been built in honour of the 165 officers and men who died in the Nigerian air force C139 plane crash on their way to Kaduna from Lagos in 1992.
