The alumni association of the Ahmadu Bello University (ABU) has reaffirmed its resolve to build a post graduate hostel that will help ease accommodation challenges of the students.

The chairman of the association, Pharmacist Ahmed Mora, disclosed this when he led his executives to pay a courtesy call on the governor of Kano state, Abdulahi Ganduje.

He decried how lack of sufficient accommodation and ease of transportation is making learning more difficult in the first generation institution of learning in the country.

While commending ABU for churning out some of the best minds from Northern Nigeria, the governor of Kano state, Abdulahi Ganduje said his administration would have done more in making the condition of learning in ABU more conducive but for the economic recession.

Gaduje blamed the economy of the country for the worrisome state of ABU. He called on the old student body to do their best in ensuring that ABU remains the pride of the Northern region.
