Okonjo-Iweala's Daughter, Onyinye, Rises To Associate Professor At Medical School In U.S.

The daughter of Dr. Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala, Nigeria's former Minister of Finance, and Coordinating Minister of the Economy in the administration of former President Olusegun Obasanjo, including former President Goodluck Jonathan, Dr. Onyinye Iweala, has been elevated to Tenured Associate Professor Of Medicine At UNC Medical School, Chapel Hill, USA.

Dr. Okonjo-Iweala, Director-General of the World Trade Organization, WTO, celebrated her daughter's promotion and success in medical profession. Onyinye rose from an Assistant Professor to a tenured Associate Professor of Medicine.

She is an allergist and immunologist, with academic and clinical concentration on UNC Allergy and Immunology research, notably environmental allergies, chronic hives, and food allergies.
