FG Issues June 30 Ultimatum For Evacuation of Nigerians from South Africa
The Federal Government has issued June 30 ultimatum for evacuation of all all registered Nigerian citizens in South Africa. The order became germane following the intensifying anti-immigrant violence and xenophobic attacks by South Africans against foreigners.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Bianca Odumegwu-Ojukwu, through her spokesperson Magnus Eze, disclosed that evacuation order was issued directly by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu .
According to the arrangement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in collaboration with the Nigerian High Commission in South Africa, will coordinate registration and transportation of citizens back home.
