It was all smiles and joy for beneficiaries of the Medical and Surgical Intervention for children in Lagos state, an initiative of the state government aimed at providing free surgical operations to majority of people who cannot afford such medical expenses.

Speaking with newsmen during her visit, wife of the Lagos State Government, Dr Ibijoke Sanwo-Olu expressed joy at the success of the mission.

The charitable exercise kick-started with the first lady's visit to Massey Street Children Hospital, General Hospital, Onikan Health Centre, General Hospital Gbagada and Orile Agege General Hospital where the Governor's also expressed hope for Lagos state.

Galaxy News Reporter Kelly Egiga gathered that some beneficiaries of the Medical/surgical Intervention programme who spoke expressed gratitude while the Health Experts advised Lagosians to pay attention to their health so as to avoid complications.
