Alleged Fraud: Senator Oduah's Arraignment Stalled Again

The arraignment by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) of former Aviation Minister, Senator Stella Oduah for alleged financial impropriety has again been stalled.

At the resumed sitting of the court Monday, the prosecutor, Hassan Liman told the court that the Commission has been unable to serve the charges on the fifth and sixth defendants who are corporate bodies.

Following the application for adjournment by the prosecutor, Justice Inyang Ekwo fixed the 19 of April, 2021 for the arraignment.

In a 25-count charge, the former minister and eight others are accused of fraud and diversion of funds through the operation of anonymous bank accounts.

Justice Ekwo had earlier fixed the 22nd of February for the arraignment on account of Oduah not being served with the court processes when the case was first mentioned on February 9th, 2021.
