Police Apprehends Suspected Kidnappers of Imo Bishop

The Imo state police command said it has arrested members of kidnap syndicate suspects who allegedly kidnapped the auxiliary bishop of Owerri archdiocese, Moses Chikwe and his driver on the 27th of December 2020.

Briefing newsmen at the police command headquarters in Owerri, the police public relations officer, superintendent Orlando Ikeokwu, said the three suspects were arrested following a painstaking investigation.

The suspects, while confessing to the crime claim they never knew he was a bishop. 

The police also paraded, one Emmanuel Ogbonna, for attempting to burn down the residence of the late Justice Chukwudifu Oputa in an attempt to call the government attention to his condition of unemployment.
