Edo Police Command Parades 45 Suspects, Recover Arms
The Edo state police commissioner Philip Ogbadu says the command has arrested over forty-five suspects in connection with various crimes, ranging from armed robbery, kidnapping, cultism and illegal arms manufacturing.
He made the disclosure while parading the suspects and recovered arms at the state police headquarters in Benin, the Edo state capital.
Addressing newsmen in his office, the police chief stressed on the success story of the command in rescuing kidnap victims among others.
Some of the paraded suspects narrated their involvement in various crimes and how they were arrested.
Edo state has been in the news in recent times over increase in criminal activities, while cult-related killings have also been on the rise.
