Kwankwaso Pays Condolence Visit To Family Of Murdered Army General, Rabe Abubakar, in Katsina
The vice presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress, NDC, in the buildup to the 2027 general elections, Engr. Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, has paid a condolence visit to the family of late Major General Rabe Abubakar (Rtd), who died in the captivity of bandits in the forest.
Kwankwaso remarked that General Rabe was a gallant, patriotic, and dedicated officer who served Nigeria with honour, courage, and distinction throughout his career.
The NDC vice presidential candidate in the 2026 elections, in a statement highlighted:
"Today in Katsina, I paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Major General Rabe Abubakar (Rtd), following his tragic death while in captivity.
"General Rabe was a gallant, patriotic, and dedicated officer who served Nigeria with honour, courage, and distinction throughout his career.
"We offered prayers for Allah’s infinite mercy on his soul, comfort and strength for his grieving family, and lasting peace and security across our nation. We also prayed for the swift and complete recovery of his wife, who has now regained her freedom.
"May Almighty Allah grant him Al-Jannatul Firdaus and forgive his shortcomings. Ameen." - RMK
