Police recover 19 vehicles in Osun

Police recover 19 vehicles in Osun

Osun state police command have recovered 19 vehicles allegedly stolen by car snatchers in the state.

The police also paraded four suspects in connection with the crime.

It is the harvest of snatched cars at the Osun state command of the Nigeria police.

Two of them are ex-convicts who confessed to having been in the business for more than two years.

Two of the suspects were arrested for buying stolen vehicles.

They told journalists that they knew what they bought were stolen vehicles even before they bought them at cheaper price ranging between N300,000 and N500,000 .

The state police commissioner, Olafimihan  Adeoye said no car has been reported stolen since last  December after the suspects were arrested.

The commissioner of police who said owners of the five cars recovered have claimed ownership also enjoined others to follow suit.

The CP also presented awards to SARS officers who made the recovery of the cars to encourage them..

The suspects are to be charged to court upon police investigations.
